Sarahs new crib addition

Ok so little Miss. Sarah does not seem to learn from her mistakes. She kept getting her leg stuck in the bars of her crib.....it was always the same leg and right at the knee...she actually has a few bruises and after having to use olive oil to get it unstuck we had to find a solution. Moms great idea :) We safety pinned the sheet on so she cant get her leg through....Mom would have sewn it but seeing how we are going to be moving in a week or so didn't see the point :) We will be putting her in a toddler bed once we move........

Fried Rice....no seriously its FRIED!!!!!!

Ok so rice is suppose to be one of the easiest things to cook right?? Yeah especially if you have a cool microwaveable RICE COOKER from pampered chef! Makes it even easier! I know I have issues with rice on the stove, so bought this and I have used it a few times successfully.....however this time didn't work out so well......I put the rice in, put the water in........put it in micro for 20 min and off to bath the kids..........then I think to myself hmmmmm what is that smell, is something burning? So I repeat this question out loud to Bob who replies "yeah the microwave is on fire" as he is taking the ENTIRE micro outside.....I can see the smoke and even a faint flame inside of the micro!!!!!!!! Yes people I admit it I suck at cooking! I cant even make RICE in the microwave!!!!!!! I seriously don't know what I did wrong but my rice was on fire and burned to a crisp....lost my cool rice cooker...I guess really no loss because like I would EVER attempt to make rice again anyways...and now our micro REEKS of burned smell every time you use it......ahhhh good thing I am moving soon and getting a new one!!! NO rice in it!!! No rice ever......I am going to get it from Panda Express to go now!!!

Birkat Hachama

So today is an extremely special day! I personally am very excited about it! I wish I didn't have a sick kiddo......Not only does Pesach start tonight but today we celebrate Birkat Hachama, The Blessing of the Sun. Once every 28 years the sun returns to the position it was when the world was created. And we have the excitement of having this happen the same day as passover will begin. It is said this day has only happened 2 other times in all of history! So make it an extra special day today!

Pardes Tekes Ceremony

Stephanie's class had their Tekes Ceremony today where they received their Hebrew Dictionary's! They are well on their way to reading and speaking Hebrew fluently!


Each child got to choose a sentence and they had to say it in English then in Hebrew. My Camera was a bit delayed so I only got Steph's Hebrew part! They also sang songs...it was really great to see how good they are all doing with the Hebrew!

Purim Kitty Cat

So Steph and many of her girlfriends all dressed up as cats for Purim today. They got to parade around the school and show off their costumes with all their classmates. The teachers even put on a play for the kids and Mrs. Schreck was Hamen :) I am sure it was a blast and I wish I could have been there to see it....however I have been unable to move due to back pain, so I couldnt go...didnt even get pics this morning befofre she left but I did snap a few this afternoon. So here they are.

Poor Emily......

:( So we have all been sick....Sarah started it then slowly we all just got it had fever, sore throat for a few days then it goes away...only Emily got it, got better, then got another fever, then the fever went away, then came back??? This happened a few times so yesterday I FINALLY decided to take her in to the Dr. They look her over take her temp (was 101) check ears, throat, nose all the usual's. Dr. doesn't see anything so then she says lets get some urine :) Hahahaha I think Yeah this is going to be fun! SO in I go to the bathroom with Emily and Sarah. I get Em up there I am trying to hold a little cup under her, which she does NOT like, and I am trying to convince her to just pee. Meanwhile I am trying to keep Sarah away from the toilet, away from the drawers with the pee cups, then shes into the toilet paper OY..all the while Em will not pee and is now crying......So we take a break go back to the room, wait a bit. They bring Em some juice, which thoroughly upsets Sarah that she didn't get any.....then I bribe Em with a sucker I found in the diaper bag....so back to the bathroom we go! This time we got the little bowl for her to pee into so no more cup holding for me! I keep Sarah busy at the sink playing with water and FINALLY we got our pee sample! OY what a time! Turns out she has a UTI :( poor little thing! So she is on meds now for 10 days, then back in for another pee test in a few weeks. Only next time I am coming prepared with a stroller for Sarah and LOTS of candy to bribe Em with :) Dr. also wants to do some ultrasounds of her Kidneys.....we will see how far we take the other test....I mean it is just 1 UTI......do we really need to do a bunch of ultrasounds and tests on her for 1 UTI???? We will see......but in the meantime she is doing great taking her meds and seems a little less cranky. And Sarah well she is your picture perfect model of a THIRD child :) but so darn cute makes it hard to yell at her :)



HAHAHAHA BOTH girls were crying when I went to take these but they are both SO trained they stopped crying for their pose and smiled :)

Sarahs first bang cut

So I couldn't take it any more! Sarah s hair was always in her eyes....I had been hair spraying it back to keep it out of her eyes, cause you know she wont keep a bow in!



My mom and I had talked about doing it but with everyone being sick we just couldn't seem to get together. So tonight I just got the scissors out and cut her bangs! Not the best job, but still better than the one Em got @ KoolKuts that one time! And of course I kept all the curls...only cut her bangs!

No Fear Sarah

So the kids were outside playing in this great weather while I was reading a book...a few sentences at a time, and I look over and see Sarah going down the slide head first! I gasped...then watched her do it again! She giggled and went again....so at that point I grabbed the camera to get some video! It was sooooo funny! She is super brave and NOT afraid of anything!!! She will be skydiving and jumping off bridges with daddy one day I am sure. Here is some video of it.....then some pics!

The Difference between your first and third child

The diff. between your 1st and third is when you find your third in the pantry eating fruit loops off the

floor you DONT freak out, let her grab a few before you pic her up and let the dog clean up the rest........when its your first you dont even have fruit loops because those have to much sugar who would feed those to a kid! :)

Sick baby girl.....

Sarah got sick as kids do....but this time it seemed worse than the reg. cold so I took her in and she has Croup......with a strider?? Dont know much about it but she sounds really pathetic because her vocal cords are swollen which makes it hard to breath and really makes her sound bad.......she is on an oral steroid for a few days and lots of Ibuprofin. I am sure she will be back to her normal self soon but for now she is down and out....its been a long week I am ready for her to be better.

ok so just to brag a bit to those of you back east.....last week we went swimming twice! Both heated pools BUT still outside. Yesterday we meet my friend Heather at her apartment and they have a great kid pool and slpash area, it was a little chilly getting out but for the most part it was nice!! Just never thought I would be saying that we SWAM outside in JAN! :) Sorry I dont have pics of it....as you can imagine with 3 kids only one of them swimming my hands were a bit full :) Thanks again Heather we had a good time!

Ummmm where did all the kids go....

Ok so I know that MOST of you think I am CRAZY and INSANE but I just am this way....FINALLY yes FINALLY we moved Sarah out of our bedroom! So last night was the first night in our room with out a child sleeping in there in some way for like the past 1 1/2 years....only it wasnt.....because Emily woke up crying @ 2 (thanks for taking care of her Bob :) )then Sarah woke up crying at 3 and didnt go back down until 4:30.....so while she wasnt technically sleeping in our room becuase her crib is now in Stephs room it REALLY wasnt ANY BETTER~! I am ready to do like Kenny Loggins and get a bed the size of 2 king size beds and just have a FAMILY bed........seriously THEN maybe I would get more sleep!!! Ok well thats my complaint.....I am going to stick to it though and hope that over the next week or so she will get a little more acclimated to the new room and do better...........we will see........I know that sleep IS in my future............at least till I dedcide to do it all again.....hehehehehehe

So we have been showing Sarah the sign for more for awhile now, but I haven't been super diligent with it....so the other day my mom saw her doing it but of course she wouldn't do it again....well she finally got it! At dinner when I asked her if she wanted more she would sign it!! :) Go baby Sarah!!

OMG we are in trouble now......

Dont let that cute kid fool you! So everyone warned me about child #3........they are crazy and wild........yeah yeah I said.....WELL now I guess I should have listened a little more! Sarah for SURE has more spunk than my other 2. She loves to crawl up on the coffee table and one day helped grandma do the dishes by STANDING in the dishwasher!!!!! So I realise she is going to be a little more to handle...BUT today OMG is all I can say!!! So she had been down for a nap for about 3 hours...it was a pretty long nap for her...Bob went upstairs to get a change of clothes and called down to me....Connie, can you come up here? I said yeah, is something wrong...just come he said...so up the stairs I went awaiting some emergency I was sure.....to the top of the stairs I get and there are BOb and Sarah standing in the bedroom door way....he says "did you get her out of her crib?" to which I said "NO! did you" (DUHHH of course he didnt he just asked me that!!) SO I ask Andrew if he got her out he said no.....we go look at her crib and sure enough you could see RIGHT where her little foot pushed up on her crib bumper and she must have gotten her foot through pushe on the arm of my recliner and gotten out onto the recliner then down! Bob found her inthe bathroom playing! Who knows how long she was awake. I still cant get over it! She is just barley a year!!! Neither of the other 2 EVERY tried to crawl out of thier cribs even at 2 years old!!!! SO tonight the chair is getting moved and if I must the bumper will come out! OY what are we gonna do with that girl!!!! Gotta go she just bashed her face on the coffee table....OY
